257 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if he will amend section 2.2 (e) of the guidelines for qualification for an individual water supply to a house to exclude those who received a new house grant within the previous ten years; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The first annual report of the national rural water monitoring committee, which has recommended a review of the terms and conditions of the grants and subsidies available under the rural water programme, including the aspect referred to, is currently under consideration in my Department and I will announce the outcome as soon as possible.
