88 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Health and Children if a person (details supplied) in County Sligo will be called for a hip replacement in view of the fact her condition has deteriorated and she is confined to her home; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [11279/00]
The provision of medical treatment for eligible persons in County Sligo is the statutory responsibility of the North-Western Health Board in the first instance. My Department has asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate this case and to reply to the Deputy directly as a matter of urgency.
