Vol. 519 No. 2

Written Answers. - Schools Building Projects.

Cecilia Keaveney

Question:

327 Cecilia Keaveney asked the Minister for Education and Science the current position in relation to a school extension (details supplied) in County Donegal; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [13445/00]

The long-term staffing and enrolment situation at the school in question is currently being assessed by my Department. When this process has been completed further consideration will be given to the accommodation needs of the school.

Jimmy Deenihan

Question:

328 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for Education and Science when a grant to improve Knockbrack national school, Knocknageshel, County Kerry will be approved; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [13489/00]

I can confirm that my Department has received an application from Knockbrack national school for grant aid towards improvement works to the school. The Deputy will appreciate, however, that my Department has a large number of schools building projects on hand at present. Within this constraint, I can assure the Deputy that the application for the school in question is being dealt with as quickly as possible.
