Vol. 519 No. 2

Written Answers. - Public Transport Facilities.

Ivor Callely

Question:

110 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for Public Enterprise the progress to improve support services for public transport users in the Dublin area; her views on the need to improve seating, shelters and other facilities such as real time passenger information; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [13731/00]

Significant progress is being made by Bus Átha Cliath in the enhancement of support services. The provision of shelters and seating is done in partnership with a private sector company. Exchequer support has been provided to facilitate the development of real time passenger information and this is expected to be ready to implement on the Lucan QBC later this summer.
