425 Mr. Hogan asked the Minister for Tourism, Sport and Recreation if he has received a report from Kilkenny Corporation regarding the construction of a new swimming pool; if so, his views on the report; when he will sanction the necessary capital funding for the provision of this essential provision in Kilkenny city; and if he will make a statement on the matter. A feasibility study on the redevelopment of Kilkenny swimming pool has been submitted by Kilkenny Corporation. I understand that the corporation proposes to construct a new pool rather than refurbish the existing pool. Officials from my Department are currently examining this report and will be in contact with the corporation shortly to discuss the proposal.
