Adjournment Debate Matters.

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 21 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Neville – the need to address the issue of child poverty; (2) Deputy Barrett – a request for permission to raise the subject matter of the reply to Parliamentary Question No. 146 of 8 November; (3) Deputy Lawlor – the urgent need for emergency flood relief works in Lucan, County Dublin; (4) Deputy Coveney – the need to set up an independent living fund for those with disabilities who are reliant on personal assistants for a quality of life; (5) Deputy Finucane – the need for a speech and language therapist for a school (details supplied) in County Limerick which has 30 children with a wide range of disabilities; (6) Deputy Flanagan – the delay in approving the Portlaoise main drainage scheme; (7) Deputy Gregory – the question of an education task force in Dublin's north inner city to respond effectively to the factors that result in this area having the lowest level of access to third level education in the State; and (8) Deputy Keaveney – the need to take action to tackle the unemployment problem in the north west region.

The matters raised by Deputies Finucane, Lawlor, Flanagan and Neville have been selected for discussion.
