Róisín Shortall
Question:324 Ms Shortall asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if his attention has been drawn to difficulties in some local authorities in managing housing estates where there is a high level of anti-social activity; if, in view of the success of the use of the Housing (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 1996, in dealing with residents who are tenants, he has given any consideration to introducing similar legislation in order to deal with tenant-purchasers who cause problems and who are currently outside the scope of existing legislation; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
