Question:

180 Mr. G. Mitchell asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will make a statement on the contents of a letter (details supplied) with regard to selling tobacco to persons under 18; and the provisions he will include in the tobacco Bill to curtail this practice. [8564/01]

The sale of tobacco products to underage persons will be examined in the context of the Public Health and Tobacco Bill currently being drafted. The views put forward in the letter referred to by the Deputy have been noted.
