163 Mr. O'Shea asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will give an assurance that the report of the expert review group on radiotherapy services will be completed by 1 January 2002; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [10540/01]
As I have previously advised the Deputy on a number of occasions, the expert review group has indicated that it anticipates that its work will be completed in a number of months. Because of the importance and the complexity of the work it is not possible to give an exact date for completion but I have been assured that the group is working as expeditiously as possible and that there is no undue delay in the work of the group. I am looking forward to receiving the report which I will consider in due course.
