Vol. 535 No. 4

Written Answers - Health Board Accommodation.

Nora Owen

Question:

179 Mrs. Owen asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will provide resources to the Northern Area Health Board to purchase suitable dwellings for housing certain clients of the health board who require semi-sheltered accommodation; the accommodation which is already available in the Dublin area for people with these needs; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [12845/01]

The provision of resources to the Northern Area Health Board for health services is a matter for the Eastern Regional Health Authority. I have asked the regional chief executive of the authority to investigate this matter and to respond directly to the Deputy as a matter of urgency.
