206 Mr. Naughten asked the Minister for Education and Science if, further to Parliamentary Question No. 593 of 1 May 2001, he will review this decision and appoint three additional permanent posts in line with the entitlements due to the allocation of hours at Castlerea Prison; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [14402/01]
As indicated in my previous reply, my Department has now authorised County Roscommon Vocational Education Committee to fill two teaching posts in Castlerea Prison on a permanent whole-time basis. The position will be kept under review in consultation with the VEC and the Department of Justice, Equality and Law Reform, having regard to the needs of the Prison Education Service.
