Vol. 537 No. 2

Written Answers. - Flood Relief.

John McGuinness

Question:

186 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Finance if the contract for the River Nore relief scheme has been awarded; if so, the name of the contractor or contractors involved; and the commencement date for the scheme. [15752/01]

As the Office of Public Works are currently assessing the tenders received only recently for the Nore River (Kilkenny city) drainage scheme they are not yet in a position to award the contract or to indicate the name of the successful contractor. However, preparations are progressing with a view to commencing on site by 1 July.
