Vol. 537 No. 2

Written Answers. - Hospital Waiting Lists.

Dan Neville

Question:

209 Mr. Neville asked the Minister for Health and Children his views on whether a two year waiting time for an appointment with a consultant urologist at the Mid-Western Health Board is unacceptable; and his further views on whether the concern of a general practitioner (details supplied) must be acted on without further delay. [15606/01]

The provision of medical services in this instance is the statutory responsibility of the Mid-Western Health Board. My Department has asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate the position in relation to this case and to reply to the Deputy directly.
