I take it the Deputy is referring to personal applications to the Probate Office. Applications to the Probate Office, including personal applications have at all times attracted court fees under the various Supreme Court and High Court (Fees) Orders. Current fees are charged pursuant to the Supreme Court and High Court (Fees) Order, 2001, which came into effect on 16 July 2001. This fees order did not introduce any new fees for applications to the Probate Office. If the Deputy wishes to provide further details of the application to which he refers in his question to the Courts Service, including the name, address, the date of death of the deceased and when the application was made, the Courts Service will make full inquiries as to the fees paid in this case and will reply directly to the Deputy in the matter.
