Vol. 541 No. 4

Written Answers. - Control of Farm Pollution Scheme.

Michael Ring

Question:

222 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will be paid a slatted shed grant. [22699/01]

The person named is an applicant under the national scheme for the control of farm pollution. A final inspection of the investment works found that these had been carried out in accordance with my Department's specifications. However, before payment of the grant can be approved it will be necessary for the person named to submit a number of key documents to the local farm development services office of my Department in Castlebar. These include a farm nutrient management plan, an electrical certificate from a member of the Registered Electrical Contractors of Ireland and a certificate for the protection of structural steel. Once these have been received, the application in question will be examined again with a view to approving the grant for payment.
