Question:

170 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Finance the position regarding the provision of the proposed new Garda station in Leixlip, County Kildare; the extent to which his Department has concluded negotiations with the various agencies involved with a view to early commencement of construction works on the project; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Minister of State at the Department of Finance (Mr. Cullen):

Negotiations are still ongoing with the vendor for the purchase of the site at Leixlip. Until these have been concluded, it is not possible to give a timetable for the construction of the new Garda station.
