Written Answers. - Housing Aid for the Elderly.

Rory O'Hanlon

Question:

234 Dr. O'Hanlon asked the Minister for Health and Children the number of house improvements carried out under the scheme of special aid for the elderly in the North-Eastern Health Board; the number of houses where central heating was installed in each community care area; and if he will make a statement on the matter. As the Deputy will be aware, the special housing aid scheme for the elderly is administered by the health boards and the Eastern Regional Health Authority, on behalf of the Department of the Environment and Local Government. I have asked the chief executive officer of the North-Eastern Health Board to reply direct to the Deputy giving the information requested, as a matter of urgency.
