49 Mr. Bradford asked the Minister for Social, Community and Family Affairs the budget guidelines from the Department of Finance in respect of proposed increases in expenditure to his Department; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [26869/01]
While there are no specific guidelines of the type referred to, as part of the normal process I will be discussing with the Minister for Finance in coming weeks social welfare improvements for inclusion in budget 2002. Any new measures will be announced on budget day, 5 December 2001.
