366 Mr. Lawlor asked the Minister for Education and Science his views on the concerns of the combined boards of management (details supplied) of St. Thomas and Scoil Áine Naofa in Esker, Lucan, County Dublin regarding the timescale for phase two of the major upgrading works at the school; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I am pleased to inform the Deputy that architectural planning in respect of phase two of a project to upgrade St. Thomas and Scoil Áine Naofa in Esker, Lucan, County Dublin is under way. My Department will be in contact with the school authorities on this issue as soon as possible.

367 Mr. Bradford asked the Minister for Education and Science if priority will be given to the refurbishment works at Curraglass national school, Mallow, County Cork; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [31421/01]

An application has been received for capital funding in respect of a proposed project at Curraglass national school, Mallow, County Cork. Decisions on the appointment of design teams in respect of individual projects will be taken in the light of the recent allocation for primary school buildings in last week's budget and my Department will be in contact with the school authorities as soon as possible.

368 Mr. Bradford asked the Minister for Education and Science when new accommodation will be provided at St. Mary's secondary school, Mallow, County Cork; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [31422/01]

The project for the provision of a new school for the Convent of Mercy secondary school, Mallow, County Cork is currently at stage five, bill of quantities. The question of authorising the project to proceed to stage six, tender action and report, is being considered and a decision will be conveyed to the school authorities as soon as possible.
