93 Mr. Bell asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment the progress made to date in her consideration of the submissions received from SIPTU and ICTU regarding proposed increases in payments available under the Redundancy Payments Act, 1979; and if she will make a statement on the matter. My Department is analysing the proposals made by ICTU and SIPTU in conjunction with consideration of the redundancy scheme, which is under way in my Department. I have written recently to both of these organisations with a view to arranging a meeting to discuss their proposals.
