Question:

131 Mr. Timmins asked the Minister for Finance the position regarding the report on flood relief work in Arklow, County Wicklow; when this report will be published; if funding has been allocated for work; when this work will be carried out; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [3937/02]

Arklow Urban District Council has commissioned a report on flooding in Arklow. The report is expected to be completed in the next month or so. The Office of Public Works has allocated an amount of €137,000 to the UDC to pay for the report. No decision on further funding for flood alleviation works in Arklow can be made until the study is completed and the findings analysed.
