494 Mrs. B. Moynihan-Cronin asked the Minister for Education and Science the reason for the long delay in processing applications for a remote transport grant to persons (details supplied) in County Kerry; the date of payment; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [5905/02]

Minister for Education and Science (Dr. Woods):

I have asked the school transport section of my Department to investigate the matter as a matter of urgency. The Deputy will be informed of the outcome as soon as possible.
