241 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage Gaeltacht and the Islands if she has identified the total number of historical, cultural or architectural sites, monuments or buildings that have been destroyed and their location; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [7060/02]
There are no comprehensive records available of the total number of such sites, monuments or buildings, which have been destroyed. In 1990 the Heritage Council undertook a survey involving an examination of 1,400 monuments to gauge their present condition. The results were published in 2000 and are available from the Heritage Council.
