Vol. 552 No. 1

Written Answers. - Schools Refurbishment.

Bernard J. Durkan

Question:

844 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Education and Science when the safety remedial works scheduled for St. Wolstan's Secondary School, Celbridge County Kildare are likely to be implemented having particular regard to the discussions which have taken place between the local authority and his Department; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [12088/02]

A traffic management report has been completed and brought to the attention of my Department. The report raised a number of issues that require to be addressed by Kildare County Council. A copy of the report has been forwarded to the county council for its attention and appropriate action.

Decisions regarding the works considered necessary, the carrying out of such works and the associated time frame are matters for Kildare County Council and not my Department.
