Question:

261 Mr. Howlin asked the Minister for Education and Science if, further to Parliamentary Question No. 707 of 20 March 2002, officials of his Department have been in touch with school authorities in relation to learning support for a person (details supplied) in County Wexford; the position in relation to the provision of learning support for this person; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [13014/02]

My Department's inspectorate has been requested to investigate the education needs of the pupil in question. My officials will be in contact with the school authorities when this report has been received and considered.
