Vol. 553 No. 7

Written Answers. - Orthodontic Service.

Billy Timmins

Question:

200 Mr. Timmins asked the Minister for Health and Children the position regarding persons (details supplied) in County Wicklow who are on the waiting list for orthodontic treatment with the South Western Area Health Board; if, in view of the fact that they reside in the South Eastern Health Board area and the waiting list is shorter in that area, they can have the option of transferring to the South Eastern Health Board for treatment; and, if so, the way in which they can go about this. [15085/02]

Responsibility for the provision of orthodontic treatment for the persons concerned rests with the Eastern Regional Health Authority. My Department has asked the chief executive officer to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and to reply to him directly.

Question No. 201 withdrawn.
