Vol. 555 No. 3

Written Answers. - School Transport.

John McGuinness

Question:

186 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Education and Science if school transport will be provided for four children to Cushenstown school, County Wexford. [18468/02]

Primary school pupils must reside two miles or more from their appropriate school to have a full transport entitlement. The family referred to by the Deputy resides less than two miles from the primary school. In the circumstances, concessionary fare-paying transport is the most that can be offered by my Department.
