361 Mr. M. Higgins asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if he will give a commitment that all followers of the China Falun Gong sect presently residing in Ireland will not be deported to China; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [19286/02]

I refer the Deputy to my reply to Question No. 1370 of 9 October 2002. The position in relation to Falun Gong practitioners has not changed since then.
