Written Answers. - Greenhouse Gas Emissions.

Jack Wall

Question:

37 Mr. Wall asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food his Department's plans to reduce agricultural emissions, especially from cattle; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [2177/03]

Plans to reduce agricultural emissions of greenhouse gases are outlined in the national climate change strategy, which was published in October 2000. The strategy sets out the measures required to bring about a reduction in emissions of greenhouse gases and the targets to be achieved by the various sectors of the economy, including agriculture.
