248 Mr. O'Shea asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the national development plan outlay in the Waterford constituency for 2002; the percentage this was of his Department's total national plan outlay for 2002; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [4707/03]
The NDP measures within my Department's remit are contained in the CAP rural development plan and various operational programmes. Total public expenditure under these headings in 2002 was €529 million. Of this, €3 million concerned initiatives – research stimulus fund, cattle and equine breeding – whose expenditure is not attributable on a county basis. Of the balance of €526 million, 1.97% or €10 million related to County Waterford.
