442 Ms O. Mitchell asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government when funding will be made for the completion of the portion of the green route between the Spawell bridge and the Knocklyon Road; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [4591/03]
South Dublin County Council's revised submission for 2003, under the EU co-financed specific improvement grants scheme, included applications for the Greenhills Road realignment scheme and the green route-Ballyboden Road-Grange Road scheme. However, the route between the Spawell Bridge and the Knocklyon Road was not included in its revised submission. It is open to the council to apply for funding for this route in 2004. This would be in response to my Department's request for applications later in the year.
