Vol. 562 No. 4

Written Answers - Oil Reserves.

Joe Costello

Question:

124 Mr. Costello asked the Minister for Communications, Marine and Natural Resources the current level of national oil reserves; if there are plans to increase the level of reserves, especially in view of the threat of war over Iraq; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [6254/03]

Paul Nicholas Gogarty

Question:

138 Mr. Gogarty asked the Minister for Communications, Marine and Natural Resources the reserves of oil which exist here, in view of the fact that the threat of an invasion of Iraq is already reducing oil output in the Gulf region and that such an invasion could result in the supply from the whole Gulf region being cut off; the length of time such supplies would last; the measures which have been taken to increase reserves; and the plans in place to seek alternative sources of oil supply. [6234/03]

Thomas P. Broughan

Question:

279 Mr. Broughan asked the Minister for Communications, Marine and Natural Resources the current level of national oil reserves; if there are plans to increase the level of reserves, especially in view of the threat of war over Iraq; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [6394/03]

I propose to take Questions Nos. 124, 138 and 279 together.
