Written Answers - Grant Payments.

Beverley Flynn

Question:

98 Ms Cooper-Flynn asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when the 2002 headage and area aid payments will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Mayo. [6822/03]

The person named is not the registered herdowner. Full entitlement under the 2002 area-based compensatory allowance scheme and the 2002 ewe premium scheme will issue as soon as possible in the name of the person who has been nominated by the family to be the registered herdowner.

Tom Hayes

Question:

99 Mr. Hayes asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the reason for the delay in payment of ten month and 22 month premia to a person (details supplied) in County Tipperary; and when payment will issue. [6858/03]

The person named submitted three applications in respect of 62 animals under the special beef premium scheme for 2002. Applications were received in January and April 2002 for 12 animals. Advance payment will issue on these animals shortly, now that the outstanding issues relating to the forage area have been clarified. Advance payment will issue in respect of the 50 animals on the December 2002 application towards the end of March subject to completion of all checks.

The person named has been paid advance slaughter premium and national envelope top up on a total of 53 and 16 animals respectively under the 2002 slaughter premium scheme. Balancing payments on all bovine schemes will commence in April 2003.
