Vol. 565 No. 4

Written Answers. - Housing Grants.

Jack Wall

Question:

175 Mr. Wall asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if a person (details supplied) in County Kildare who bought a house by the shared ownership system last year is still permitted to proceed with her application for a first time buyer's grant; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [11310/03]

Applications under the new house grant scheme, which was terminated as and from 14 November 2002, were required to be received in my Department on or before 4 December 2002. As no application was received on or before that date, a new house grant cannot be allowed in this case.
