Vol. 567 No. 1

Written Answers. - Nursing Homes.

Mary Upton

Question:

350 Dr. Upton asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will investigate the manner in which a person (details supplied) in Dublin 12 was discharged from St. James's Hospital and sent to a nursing home; and if this person will now be entitled to a contract bed. [13855/03]

As responsibility for the administration of nursing homes including the procurement and allocation of contract beds in the Dublin 12 area, rests initially with the Eastern Regional Health Authority, my Department has asked the chief executive officer of the authority to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and reply direct to her.
