Vol. 567 No. 5

Written Answers. - Departmental Funding.

Pádraic McCormack

Question:

409 Mr. McCormack asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if additional funding can be granted to Threshold Galway in order to employ additional staff in view of the loss of three of its community employment participants due to cutbacks which has now left the services of Threshold Galway understaffed; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [14349/03]

Threshold's application for grant-in-aid funding towards the administrative and general expenses of its organisation including its Galway office will be considered, together with all other applications submitted to the Department for such funding, when a decision is being made on this year's allocations. I expect to be in a position to decide on these allocations shortly.
