136 Ms Enright asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the reason an early retirement pension of a person (details supplied) in County Offaly has been reduced by ?201.13 per month; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [16221/03]
It is a condition of the EU regulation governing the scheme that the early retirement pension must be reduced by the amount of any national retirement pension paid to the retiring farmer. The person named is in receipt of a non-contributory old age pension since 28 August 2002 and the amount of that pension must be deducted from her pension under the early retirement scheme.
