104 Mr. S. Ryan asked the Minister for the Environment Heritage and Local Government when the office of environment enforcement, promised in An Agreed Programme for Government, will be established and operational; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [16525/03]

Work on the development of detailed proposals in relation to the establishment of the office of environment enforcement is well advanced. This work will be completed and decisions announced as soon as possible.
