Mary Wallace

Question:

323 Ms M. Wallace asked the Minister for Health and Children the services available for persons (details supplied) in the North-Eastern Health Board area who are born with a learning disability and who develop a psychiatric illness, in terms of a comprehensive clinical assessment similar to that available in Stewarts Hospital, Palmerstown; the way in which such persons access such services; if the service is outside of the North-Eastern Health Board area; the way in which the service is funded; the follow up services available for such persons; the location of such services; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [17682/03]

Responsibility for the provision of care and treatment of the named individual rests with the North-Eastern Health Board. My Department has therefore asked the chief executive officer to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and reply to her directly.
