Question:

392 Mr. Nolan asked the Minister for Health and Children if his attention has been drawn to the fact that there are over 4,000 patients on the waiting list for orthopaedic out-patient appointments in Waterford Regional Hospital; the actions he proposes to take in order to address this problem; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The provision of services at Waterford Regional Hospital is a matter of the South-Eastern Health Board. My Department has asked the chief executive officer of the board to examine this matter and to reply directly to the Deputy.
