Written Answers. - Disadvantaged Status.

Seán Crowe

Question:

267 Mr. Crowe asked the Minister for Education and Science if his attention has been drawn to an application from St. Mary's secondary school, Haddington Road, Dublin 4, sent on 5 March 2003, for funding for an after school homework club; if a decision has been taken as to whether the application will be approved; and if not, the grounds on which it was rejected. [29842/03]

The school referred to by the Deputy has been approved for funding under the fund for the development of educational responses to certain children at risk and has been notified of this decision. As the Deputy may be aware, this fund is the responsibility of my colleague, the Minister of State, Deputy Brian Lenihan.
