As I have an interest in history I see an historical anomaly—
European Communities (Amendment) Bill 2003: Committee and Remaining Stages.
SECTION 1.
Question proposed: "That section 1 stand part of the Bill."
Perhaps I am wrong but I thought we had agreed to finish at 1 p.m
An Leas-Chathaoirleach
We agreed Second Stage would finish at 1 p.m.
There is an historical anomaly in this but I will not ask the Minister to comment on it. Section (r) states: “the Treaty concerning the accession of the Kingdom of Norway.” Norway opted out following that signature. This is unusual legislation because it includes a country which is not a member of the European Union, although we are discussing accession.
