18 Mr. Costello asked the Minister for Arts, Sport and Tourism the position regarding the management of the National Aquatic Centre; if a date for the hearing of the appeal by Campus Stadium Ireland Development Limited has been set; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [26946/06]
View answerThe National Aquatic Centre is operated under lease given by Campus and Stadium Ireland Development Ltd. CSID issued legal proceedings for the forfeiture of the lease due to the failure of the operators to comply with their obligations under the lease. A stay has been placed on the Order and Judgment of the High Court, and the case currently awaits allocation of a date for hearing of an appeal in the Supreme Court against that Order and Judgment. It would be inappropriate for me to make any further comment in advance of the Supreme Court proceedings.
