Section 17 of the Dublin Docklands Development Authority Act 1997 (as amended) provides for the appointment of the Authority's Executive Board, comprising a Chairperson and seven ordinary directors, by the Minister for Environment, Heritage and Local Government for a period not exceeding five years.

Mr. Seán Fitzpatrick was appointed as an ordinary director of the Executive Board on 11 August 1998 by the then Minister and was subsequently re-appointed to the Board for the period from 1 May 2002 to 30 April 2007.

My Department has no record of any representations received regarding the appointment of Mr. Fitzpatrick to the Board of the Authority.
