Deputy Thomas Pringle asked the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform if a review of the status of a person (details supplied) in 1989 has been considered; if his attention has been drawn to the full status of their employment with the State; and if he will make a statement on the matter. My Department has no role in this matter and it should be referred to my colleague the Minister for Justice in the first instance. 

I understand that this matter has been the subject of extensive correspondence with the party in question and that the position has been outlined in correspondence including a number of Parliamentary Questions to the Minister for Justice dating from 2014 to 2017.
