Deputy Michael Ring asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Foreign Affairs when a response will issue to correspondence sent to his Department by a person (details supplied) in County Mayo in relation to an error in respect of their foreign birth registration; and if he will make a statement on the matter. With regard to the specific FBR application about which the Deputy has enquired, further supporting documents for the application were received following a request by the Passport Service. These documents are currently being processed, and a member of the FBR team will be in contact with the applicant in due course.
