623. Deputy Louise O'Reilly asked the Minister for Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science how much his Department has spent on advertising on a website (details supplied) for each of the years 2019 to 2022 and to date 2023, in tabular form; and whether his Department will still run advertisements on the platform going forward due to issues. Over the past three years, since the establishment of the Department, the sum of €3,874.11 has been spent on X/twitter for campaigns such as COVID advice for students, SUSI supports and the launch of the Right Course website.

As the below table confirms, no money was spent on advertising on the platform in 2023.

The Department continues to keep all channels of communication with the public on review on an ongoing basis.
