Former politicians to debate “Ireland & Europe – 50 Years A Growing”.

Paving the way for Membership, Shaping our Membership, The Effect of Membership and Looking ahead are some of the Key topics regarding Ireland and Europe which will be addressed by former TDs and Senators when they come together on Friday 20 January 2012 in the Dáil Chamber, Leinster House.

This annual event which will take place from 10.30 a.m. – 5.30 p.m. is hosted by the Irish Parliamentary (Former Members) Society.
Former members speaking at the seminar will include: Prof. John Horgan, Prof. Martin O’Donoghue, , Prof. Joe Lee, Dr. Maurice Manning, Prof. Alan Dukes, Mr. Michael O’Kennedy, Mr. Eamonn Ryan and Dr. Martin Mansergh. Other former members who will attend include Geraldine Kennedy, Nora Owen, Dr. Brendan Halligan and Dr. Maurice Hayes.

The seminar will commence at 10.30am on Friday 20 January with “Special Reflections on a Grandfather” by Seán Haughey.

Members of the extended Lemass family have also been invited to attend, including Mrs Maureen Haughey.
