Joint Committee on Education, Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science meets for discussion on North South Enrolment in Tertiary Education

The meeting in 2 sessions will hear from officials from:

Session 1: 11:10am – 12:30pm

·       Department of Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science

·       Northern Ireland Department for the Economy

·       Higher Education Authority (HEA)

·       Solas

Session 2: 12:30pm – 2pm

·       Representatives from Teachers Union of Ireland (TUI)

·       Irish Congress of Trade Unions (ICTU)

·       Irish Federation of University Teachers (IFUT)

Speaking ahead of the meeting, Deputy Paul Kehoe TD, Cathaoirleach of the Committee said “This meeting will allow the Committee to discuss the issues examined in the Joint Committee Report on North South Enrolment in Tertiary Education, published last year. We look forward to gaining valuable insight from the key stakeholders involved at tomorrow’s meeting.”
