Joint Committee on Health to meet for consideration of the delivery of health services for patients with Long Covid

The Joint Committee on Health will meet on Wednesday, 17th April for consideration of the delivery of health services for patients with Long Covid at 9:30am in Committee Room 2 of Leinster House. 

The meeting in 2 sessions will hear from representatives from:

 

Session 1. 9:30am – 11am (approx.)

Long Covid Advocacy Ireland

 

Session 2. 11am – 12:30pm

The Health Service Executive (HSE).

 

Speaking ahead of the meeting, Committee Cathaoirleach Deputy Seán Crowe said “the meeting tomorrow allows the Committee to get insight from Long Covid Advocacy Ireland and the HSE on what patients who face the lingering symptoms of Covid-19 experience.

“We will use our time to get as much detail on what Long Covid Advocacy Ireland believe is necessary and what further measures could and should be implemented in order to alleviate the experiences of those with Long Covid.”
